TNP (Turning Negatives into Positives) is an adaptation/application of Wendy Ewald’s Literacy Through Photography Program, Duke University (http://cds.aas.duke.edu/ltp/). TNP will introduce children to photography as a means of visualizing self-care and growth promoting thoughts and actions. The purpose is to facilitate healing strategies in response to experiences that have transformed their lives. Children will also learn how experiences and emotions, thoughts, behaviors are connected. Through workshop activities they will also learn the language of self-expression.
