Dear FOS11 Member,

StoryCorps is returning to the WTC Family Center on Long Island for the 17th time!  You have a choice of 2 dates:
Monday April 28th and Thursday May 1st, 2008
Appointments are on the hour beginning at 11:00 AM through 7:00 PM
2277 Grand Avenue, Baldwin, NY 11510    Ph. # 516-678-2700

Every member of your family ages 10 and older can make their own audio recording....or you can do one together.(Siblings with parents, widows and their children, responders, survivors, etc.)

StoryCorps, the national oral history project has been conducting a special initiative to collect the life stories of those who were lost on September 11 by inviting family members to record memories of their loved ones. Each recording session occurs in an interview format and takes approx. one hour. You will receive a free CD copy of your recording.

The National September 11 Memorial & Museum has a partnership with StoryCorps to collect these recordings for the permanent collection at the Memorial Museum at the WTC site. The goal is to collect at least one family recording for each of the 2,979 who perished on Sept. 11, 2001 and Feb. 26, 1993, as well as the stories of survivors and rescue workers”

To schedule your appointment, contact Margie Miller, WTC Family Center at 516-678-2700.
