Dear FOS11 parent,

Is your child telling you that they are “done being a 9/11 kid” but do you still have concerns about how they are continuing to process their loss at different stages of development?  We are building a chat program to provide a safe, supportive and sharing environment for teens (ages 12 and up) who have experienced trauma and loss.  If you think your child would be interested in helping to build this program, have them join us at the next session on October 2nd at 7:00. Pre-registration and permission forms are required. Teens interested in participating must register as a member in order to enroll. (They will need to use their FOS11 membership username and password to get to the chat registration. Then, create a specific chat name and password for the chat.)

Enroll now: https://www.familiesofseptember11.org/chat2/membership_form.asp?chatID=100207

As always, your feedback is very important to us. If you have any comments or suggestions, please let us know.

Families of September 11, in partnership with The Good Grief Program of Boston Children’s Medical Center, are offering teens a chance to connect with each other in a safe online environment. We will talk about an issue during each session which will be facilitated by FOS11 Advisory Board member, Dr. Donna Gaffney and administered by FOS11 staff, Janie Wong (click here to learn more about them). This new project is an outgrowth of the success and popularity of the Families of September 11 Chat Program. This online support group for adult family members, survivors, and anyone affected by 9/11 began in 2004.
