Parents, Caregivers & Advocates of Children Affected by 9/11
We Invite You to Participate
In a Special
FOS11 CHAT SESSION
Tuesday, April 19, 2005
9:00-10:00 PM EST
Are you caring for a child who lost a family member or loved one on 9/11? Do you have concerns over developmental issues or how 9/11 is taught in school? Have you wondered when it is appropriate to tell young children more about the death of their parent and to what detail (and at what age)? Have you started to date again and face mixed reactions from your children and/or teens?
Families of September 11 (FOS11) invites all members* to join us for this very special chat discussion with Dr. Donna Gaffney, a licensed mental health professional and trauma specialist. Dr. Gaffney is the author of The Seasons of Grief: Helping Children Grow Through Loss. She also wrote the professional guide accompanying the young adult book, 911: The Book of Help. Maureen Brogan, MA, LPC, the new Project Manager for the Children of September 11 webpage and Program Director for the NJ Family Advocate Program, will also be in attendance.
Click on the link above (or cut and paste the entire link into your browser). You will choose a chat name (which will identify you in the chat room) and a password. Then, you will receive an email confirmation with a link to the chat. On April 19 at 9:00 PM, please click on this emailed link and enter your chosen chat name and password. As a reminder, all participants must be 18 years of age or older.
If you have any problems or questions, please do not hesitate to contact email@example.com or call 212-575-1878.
