Holiday Chat This Week
Join Dr. Donna Gaffney and your peers in the 9/11 community this Thursday, Dec. 2, at 8:00 PM EST for a special one-hour chat about coping during the holidays.
Facing the holidays can be challenging for families and survivors of any devastation. To help you cope during what may be a difficult time, Families of September 11 will be hosting a special chat room discussion on Thursday, December 2 from 8:00-9:00 PM EST. Dr. Donna Gaffney, a licensed mental health professional, noted trauma specialist and faculty member of the International Trauma Studies Program at New York University, will moderate.
We encourage you to participate so that you can discuss particular issues that you face, learn and share coping strategies, and support others in the 9/11 community. The FOS11 Chat Program provides a secure and sympathetic environment in which to explore issues of concern with your peers, facilitated by a trained professional.
You will be able to choose a chat name (which will identify you in the chat room) and a password. Then, you will receive an email with a link to the chat. On Thursday at 8:00 PM, please click on the link that is emailed to you and enter your chosen chat name and password. As a reminder, all participants must be 18 years of age or older.
If you have any problems or questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 212-575-1878.
Please forward this email to others who you think might like to participate. To register as a member with Families of September 11, please visit:
