Vigil to Support the Pending 9/11 Commission Reform Bill
Please join us in a vigil to show support for the pending bill known as the "9/11 Recommendations Implementation Act." Congress will be going back to Washington on Monday, December 6th, and we need to urge them to pass this bill.
Who: 9/11 family members, friends and all who are interested in making our county safer.
When: Daily, from 12 noon to 1:00 pm beginning Wednesday, December 1, through Sunday, December 5.
Why: We are holding a vigil to ensure that when Congress reconvenes on December 6th, they will vote on the 9/11 bill.
• New York City, Ground Zero, at Church and Liberty (walk north on
Church to the middle of the block)
• Boston, at the 9/11 Memorial, Boston Public Gardens, Corner of Arlington and Newbury St.)
• Los Angeles, at Fire Station 88, 5101 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Sherman Oaks, California
*If you are unable to participate at any of these three venues, we encourage you to set up a vigil in your hometown at a time that is most convenient for your group, even for only one day. For help in planning a vigil in your hometown, to add your hometown location to our list, or for further information on the events listed above, please contact:
Mary Fetchet at firstname.lastname@example.org (New York and other locations)

The 9/11 Commission identified the problems that contributed to our government's failure to protect us on 9/11. They made recommendations to correct those problems. Yet Congress left for Thanksgiving recess without enacting legislation based on those recommendations. Every day that we delay aids the terrorists since our intelligence network is still dysfunctional. President Bush and Speaker Hastert must act NOW to turn these recommendations into legislation.
Please forward this message to everyone on your email list so that all who are interested in making this country safer can participate in New York, Boston, Los Angeles or their hometown.
