The 9/11 Commission Caucus is a bipartisan group of legislators in the U.S. House of Representatives who have endorsed the 9/11 Commission's recommendations and are working for their speedy approval. The Commission's final report issued 41 recommendations to help prevent future terrorist attacks, including details of a global strategy and government reorganization necessary to implement that strategy.
The caucus co-chairs are Rep. Carolyn Maloney (NY-14) and Rep. Christopher Shays (CT-4). See below for contact information for the caucus co-chairs. Current membership in the caucus stands at 15 Representatives and includes Brad Sherman (CA-27), Rob Simmons (CT-2), Mike Castle (DE), Ed Case (HI-02), Mike Pence (IN-6), Dennis Moore (KS-3), Dutch Ruppersberger (MD-2), Martin Meehan (MA-5), Christopher Smith (NJ-4), Jerry Nadler (NY-8), Carolyn McCarthy (NY-4), Anthony Weiner (NY-9), and Jim Cooper (TN-5).
