Dear FOS11 Member,

In efforts to keep everyone informed on the latest developments at the World Trade Center site, the Mayor's Community Assistance Unit has provided an update (see below) regarding 11 Water Street.  FOS11 continues to be in contact with the Mayor's Office and will provide information as it is made available.

Re: 11 Water Street

As you may know, the City has been working on opening up 11 Water Street as a facility to search through material that may contain human remains found at the World Trade Center site.  December 18th has always been our target date and we are happy to announce that the facility is now operational as of today.  This facility will provide a better environment for this important work to take place.

We know that some family members may want to tour the new facility and we would be happy to set up a date, or dates, to do that in early January. You can feel free to contact Ada Rehnberg in our office at 212-788-7418 or at arehnberg@cityhall.nyc.gov to help with setting up the exact date for you or your group. While I know that this is a difficult time of year, I hope that everyone has a peaceful holiday season.

Patrick
