Holidays can be one of the most challenging times of year for survivors and grieving families. To help you cope during what may be a difficult time, Families of September 11 (FOS11) will be hosting a special chat room discussion next week on Tuesday, November 22 from 8:00-9:00 PM EST.
We encourage you to participate so that you can …
• Discuss particular issues that you face
• Learn and share coping strategies
• Support others in the 9/11 community
The FOS11 Chat Program provides you with an anonymous and supportive environment to explore issues of concern with a licensed mental health professional and your peers. As a reminder, all participants must be 18 years of age or older and FOS11 members (please see below on how to register as a member for free). Dr. Donna Gaffney, a noted trauma specialist, will facilitate the chat.
After you login, you will be able to choose an anonymous chat name (which will identify you in the chat room) and a password. Then, you will receive an email with a link to the chat. On Tuesday, November 22 at 8PM, please click on the link that is emailed to you and enter your chosen chat name and password. If you have any problems or questions, contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 212-575-1878.
Families of September 11 (FOS11) membership is free and open to all 9/11 families, survivors, first responders, and others interested in supporting our mission. Please forward this email to those who you think might like to participate.
