FREE Workshops Available in New Jersey
From Career Resilience to Reinvention:
Growing from your 9/11 Experience

Time may have moved on but for those who were closest to the events of 9/11, or for those who continue to struggle with job-related issues, want to change careers or are looking for ways to reinvent their careers, the "It's for You NJ 911" program, sponsored by the Office of the Attorney General, Division of Criminal Justice and UMDNJ-University Behavioral Healthcare will be offering a series of FREE workshops – From Career Resilience to Reinvention: Growing from Your 9/11 Experience.

This two-hour workshop helps demystify the process of making significant personal change and frames it inside of a career reinvention model. For NJ residents, 9/11 happened where we work. It changed the way we go to work, the way we think about work and the way we look for work. If you lost your job after 9/11, or are looking for a comparable job in New Jersey and finding that the process is raising emotional issues for you, this program can be a positive step in the process of moving ahead.

From Career Resilience to Reinvention: Growing from Your 9/11 Experience will be led by a professional career coach and a licensed clinical professional who will help you learn how to focus on the important steps in the recovery process when faced with career change, by choice or by chance.

Workshops are scheduled for 7-9PM as follows:
• Thursday, April 7th in Bayonne at Saint Andrew's School, 125 Broadway & 4th Street
• Monday, April 18th in Middletown at the Middletown Township Library, 55 New Monmouth Road
• Wednesday, April 20th in Hoboken at the Symposia Bookstore, 510 Washington St. (Between 5th and 6th Streets)

Topics to be discussed include:
• Career change, by choice or by chance, following 9/11
• Resiliency and reinvention
• Coping skills that enable you to enjoy personal growth despite life's ups and downs
• Demystifying the process of making significant personal change in your life

The "It's for You NJ 911" program offers free counseling, community education sessions and information and resources for New Jersey residents affected by the events of 9/11. The free two-hour session includes light refreshments and workshop materials. For more information or to register, please call 1-866-4-U-NJ-911 or visit our website at www.4unj911.org.
