Special DC-Area Chat Discussion

Families of September 11 will be hosting a special chat for families and survivors of 9/11 who live in the Washington D.C. area on Wednesday, December 15 from 8:00 - 9:00 PM. Dr. Donna Gaffney, a licensed mental health professional (read her biography), will lead an open online discussion on issues and topics that specifically affect those residing in the D.C.-area who survived or lost family members in the 9/11 attacks.

Your participation is crucial to our understanding of how our organization can better address your needs. If you have resources and coping strategies that have helped you, we would also like to hear about those so we can share these with others in the 9/11 community.

Please note that while this chat is for FOS11 members only, membership is free and joining is easy (see below). For D.C.-area members who wish to participate, please click on this link:

You will be able to choose a chat name (which will identify you in the chat room) and a password. Then, you will receive an email with a link to the chat. On Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 8:00 PM, please click on the link that is emailed to you and enter your chosen chat name and password. As a reminder, all participants must be 18 years of age or older.

If you have any problems or questions, please do not hesitate to email us at chathelp@familiesofseptember11.org or call 212-575-1878.
