Did you survive the attacks at the World Trade Center?
Did you survive the attack at the Pentagon?
Do you still experience feelings of anxiety or depression?
Would you like to connect with others with similar experiences?

Families of September 11 invites you to participate in an online chat session this Thursday, October 28, 2004 from 8:00 - 9:00 PM EST. Donna Gaffney, a licensed mental health professional (read her biography), will lead an open discussion on issues and topics that specifically affect those who survived the attacks at the Pentagon and the World Trade Center. There will also be resources available for those seeking help.

If you are a survivor and wish to participate, please click on this link:

You will be able to choose a chat name (which will identify you in the chat room) and a password. Then, you will receive an email with a link to the chat. On Thursday at 8:00 PM, please click on the link that is emailed to you and enter your chosen chat name and password.

As a reminder, all participants must be 18 years of age or older. All participants will remain anonymous. Please feel free to forward this email to others who you think might be interested in participating. All participants must be members of FOS11; membership is free. To register as a member, please visit: https://www.familiesofseptember11.org/families/agreement.asp

Please note that we have designed this particular chat session exclusively for survivors, whom we define as those placed at immediate risk of injury or death during the attacks at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, so that they may explore issues unique to their situation. Families of September 11 has held and will continue to hold chat sessions for victims' family members as well as more broad-based sessions.  Please look for additional announcements for future chats.
