9-11 Traumatic Grief Survey: Please Participate Now!
Families of September 11 wishes to remind everyone about the 9-11 Traumatic Grief Survey. Many of you have already completed the survey and we thank you for doing that. We hope others will complete the survey because it will provide unique information to researchers and health professionals on the needs and treatment of those who experience grief following large-scale trauma and loss.
As a reminder, the survey is open to not only relatives of victims, but also friends and colleagues of those lost in the terrorist attacks. If you know anyone else who might qualify for this survey, please pass this email along. Once you have signed on and initiated the survey you have a week to complete it, even though it takes only about 45 minutes to an hour to complete. You may take a break or breaks as long as it is completed within one week. Your confidentiality will be carefully protected.
If you have questions about the study or the survey, please contact Dr. Yuval Neria at the New York State Psychiatric Institute by phone at (212) 543-5367. The survey is sponsored by the National Center for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders, the New York State Psychiatric Institute, Columbia University, Boston Health Care System, and Families of September 11. To learn more and to log on to complete the survey, please visit http://www.9-11survey.org.
